About Us
We are Bob Ricchetti and Kimberly Croteau. We are a friendly and trustworthy husband and wife team who are committed to serving sellers and buyers with creative real estate solutions. Our individual talents beautifully complement each other in providing the utmost value in serving our clients. We are affiliate members of The Asheville Board of Realtors as well as members of CREIA (Carolina Real Estate Investors Association).
Bob's background is in business management. He graduated from The University of Nevada Reno earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, specializing in Logistics/Supply Chain Operations. Then earned a Master's of Business Administration degree at the University of Phoenix. Bob has over twenty years experience managing people, businesses and processes. Bob has worked for five global corporations managing thousands of people, running multiple business units, and financial responsibilities in the tens of millions. Bob’s vast and exceptional experience with finances, budgets and people allows him to utilize this knowledge to create exceptional win-win-win solutions not found elsewhere.
Kimberly's background is in counseling psychology. She graduated from John F. Kennedy University earning both a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology. She has several years experience with people management, overseeing several hundred at a time. She also have a vast amount of budget, negotiation and business management experience. Through the years she has found her connection with people to be most rewarding. She enjoys getting to know people intimately and using that knowledge to help create a solution that will be most beneficial. First, she used this in her work with corporations, then as a marriage family counselor, and now as your Lease Option/Rent to Own Specialist.
Our Story Later that evening, Bob and I watched the show together and vividly imagined ourselves living amongst the lush green mountain scenery on a windy country road in the heart of Western North Carolina. Watching the show struck many lively conversations about pursuing our life's dream of living in the country. We lingered in the infinite possibilities of the life that we could create and all the potential that lied in and before us. In fact, the birth of our company name was inspired by this special time in our lives. Hence, the name IP Investments stands for Infinite Possibilities. Needless to say, neither one of us had ever been to Asheville before, however it became quite clear to us that it was where we were supposed to land for the next phase of our life's journey. Bob flew to Asheville right away to browse the area and it was confirmed during his visit that we would be relocating. We had thought that once we put our house on the market that it would sell quickly. However, as each month past, reality set in that selling our home would have its set of challenges. One of which was the California real estate market was dropping in value every single day. Since we had already purchased our Asheville home, we were not only were paying two mortgages, but our California home was losing value every single day it did not sell. We hired one of the best Realtors in the San Francisco Bay Area and he did all he could to market and sell our home, however after many months and a half dozen open houses there was still no sale. At this point, we saw our equity disappearing more and more every single day it sat on the market. Fortunately, our Realtor came through for us and eight months later found a buyer to purchase our home. Lease Options would have been an exceptional and resourceful solution for us. Having the exposure and knowledge of Lease Options/Rent to Own would have saved us tens of thousands of dollars back then. When the doors to our lives in California closed, new ones opened upon our arrival to Asheville. One of which was our desire to pursue helping others in real estate. We immediately enrolled in a two year real estate education program and flew all over the United States seeking teachings from the most highly esteemed and successful mentors in all areas of real estate. Although we are versed in many different aspects of real estate (Foreclosure, Rehab, Wholesale, Short Sale, Property Management, Creative Financing, etc.), we discovered Lease Options/Rent to Own was to be the area of expertise that we would specialize in. Our zest for real estate was inspired by our experiences in selling our home in California as well as the personal satisfaction we received in rehabbing it ourselves. The story about how and why our business began is certainly a unique one. We were living in California at the time and I was within a couple months from graduating with my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology. One day, I spontaneously turned on the television and watched "Dream Home" a show featured on the Home and Garden (HGTV) channel. This particular Dream Home was a custom-designed mountain home located in the luxury resort community of Grey Rock at Lake Lure, North Carolina. The Dream Home immediately took my breath away. The home was absolutely stunning and left long-lasting impressions.
